DESCRIPTION:This two-part workshop will give you the tools to build a speech that will immediately capture the attention of your audience\, engage them with the stories that illustrate and support the points you wish to make\, and conclude at the destination you had planned for them. \n\n \n\nPart one is focused on something you do every day\, in conversations\, when meeting new people\, and at every opportunity to influence. Networking! You'll learn how craft\, energize and present your all-important "elevator pitch".\n\n\n\nGetting feedback on your speech is key to making it memorable\, and it is a cornerstone to effective speaking. In part two of the workshop the group will evaluate your speech to identify what did and what didn't work\, and how to improve the structure\, content and delivery of your speech for maximum effect. Learn how easy it is to tell your story and leave a lasting impression with your audience.\n\n\n\nIf the thought of speaking in front of a group induces a state of high anxiety and cold sweat\, then attending this "Stress-Free Public Speaking" workshops will dial-down the stress and show you how to be comfortable speaking in any situation.\n\n\n\nThese workshops are presented by the following public speaking experts:\n1. Allan Corbett Allan began speaking in public as a President of a Real estate organization\, but only learned how to do it well after he joined a Toastmasters club. Since then he has started two Toastmaster clubs\, and currently serves as President of the Spontaneous Speakers South Surrey club. His mantra is "be prepared to be spontaneous".\n \n\n2. Bob Milliken Bob is a Toastmaster\, a regular speaker to business groups\, a digital marketer and a writer. His articles appear regularly in the Surrey Business News. He is the President of Early Edition Toastmasters - South Surrey\, and a member of both the Surrey Board of Trade and the Vancouver Board of Trade. His mantra is "Show your business a good time".\n Part 1: Thursday\, April 25\, 2019\; Part 2: Wednesday\, May 8\, 2019\n\n \n\n\nEvent payment is due upon registration. Cancellations for event attendance\, sponsorship\, or exhibitor space will not be refunded. An event registration is considered a commitment to pay. While event registration is non-refundable\, cancellations before three full business days of the event may be eligible for a credit towards a future event. Some exclusions apply.
